To commemorate the exhibition "The UKIYO-E 2020 - Japan's Three Greatest Ukiyo-e Collections" currently being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, PARCO Co., Ltd. has produced exhibition-exclusive products. Popular illustrator Tanaka Misaki, with over 300,000 followers on Instagram, has created original illustrations based on Kitagawa Utamaro's "Monoshiren," which will be developed and sold at the exhibition venue.

To fully showcase the appeal of ukiyo-e, a world-renowned Japanese art, this exhibition brings together masterpieces from Japan's three largest ukiyo-e collections in terms of both quality and quantity: the Ota Memorial Museum of Art, the Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, and the Hiraki Ukiyo-e Foundation. Approximately 450 carefully selected ukiyo-e prints will be on display. (This exhibition requires designated date and time admission. Exhibits will be changed during the exhibition period.)

For this exhibition, Tanaka Misaki, who studied printmaking and was influenced by ukiyo-e herself, has created an illustration based on Kitagawa Utamaro's bijinga painting "Monoshiren" from the "Love in the Utasen" collection, and has transformed the illustration into merchandise. This product exudes a sexy quality, emanating from the melancholy expressions of the women depicted by Tanaka Misaki.

The product can be purchased at the exhibition's special goods shop and online. For online purchases, please see the goods page on the exhibition's official website (https://ukiyoe2020.exhn.jp/goods/). (Exhibition admission is required to access the special exhibition goods shop. Please purchase a date and time specified ticket from the official website before visiting.)
