Godiva Japan Co., Ltd. has added two new truffle chocolates, "Truffles Berges" and "Truffles Nippon," to its "Legendaire Truffles" collection of Godiva's exquisite truffles. The new chocolates, with newly redesigned packaging, will be available at Godiva shops nationwide and the Godiva online shop from August 26, 2020. Also on the same day, Godiva will be redesigning its "Grand Place," a jewel-like masterpiece named after the beautiful square in Brussels, the birthplace of Godiva.
Godiva was founded in Belgium in 1926. In 1946, the first truffle was created by our first chocolatier, Pierre Draps. Since then, each generation of chefs has inherited Pierre's recipe, honing their skills and devoting their passion to evolving Godiva truffles into highly artistic chocolates.
Two new truffles, "Truffle Berges" and "Truffle Nippon," will be available in our "Legendaire Truffle" and "Grand Place" lineups. "Truffle Berges" is inspired by the traditional Belgian sweet, speculoos. "Truffle Nippon" is a commemorative truffle that was created in 1972 to commemorate Godiva's first store in Japan. It was redesigned in 2020 through the innovative creativity of Godiva chefs, and is a commemorative truffle for Godiva Japan as well.
The packaging for Legendaire Truffle has also been completely redesigned, featuring a simple gold Godiva logo with a leather texture and a beautiful blue-purple ribbon, creating a dignified design that expresses Godiva's history and authenticity.
