New City Art Fair, showcasing Japanese art, to be held in Osaka

Apr 15, 2013

H.P.FRANCE will be hosting the NEW CITY ART FAIR, an art fair showcasing Japanese contemporary art to the world, at the Hankyu Umeda Gallery in Osaka from April 24th to April 28th. The fair launched in March 2012 as the first and only Japanese contemporary art fair in New York. It was held in Taipei in November of the same year, and will return to New York in March of this year, garnering significant attention. Now, this spring, the fair will launch in Japan, featuring galleries representing Japan's contemporary art scene. The fair aims to attract art collectors from Asia, primarily in the Kansai region, and to shape the domestic art market, while also educating customers who are less familiar with art. In addition, the fair will feature a special exhibition, the Official Art Print Edition 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. 23 world-renowned artists will be showcasing prints created on themes of football and life in Brazil.
