Adidas and Tom Dixon unveil collaborative collection at Milan Salone

Apr 17, 2013

The "adidas by Tom Dixon" collection, a collaboration between adidas and British product designer Tom Dixon, was unveiled at the Milan Salone del Mobile. The collection took place at the MOST (Museum of Science and Technology) in the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology. The collection featured apparel and bags presented within an experimental factory-inspired installation created by Dixon's Design Research Studio, where he serves as creative director. The lineup included highly functional items such as a padded parka that transforms into a sleeping bag, an ultra-lightweight hoodie that packs into a small pouch, "five-in-one" overalls that transform into five different items—coat, jacket, pants, skirt, and shorts—as well as two- and three-way bags and suitcases. The collection is scheduled for release in mid-November.
