At Marunouchi Reading Style on the fourth floor of KITTE, a shopping mall in Marunouchi, Tokyo, the select watch brand POS+ and the globe-themed accessory brand geografia are holding a joint exhibition and sale until May 6th. POS+ is a select watch brand based on the concept of "communication accessories," bringing together unique design watches created by designers from various countries, including the UK, Sweden, and the US. Six labels from around the world—Mr. Jones Watches, normal, HYGGE, phosphor, VOIDWATCHES, and TIME STUDIO STOCKHOLM—are gathered together under one roof. POS+'s newest digital watch, the minimalist version of normal, has been selected for collections by the London Design Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Moderna Museet in Stockholm, among others. At this exhibition, POS+ will be offering a pre-sale of its latest creation, the brand's minimalist digital watch.
Geographia is a product series themed around geography, topography, and the Earth. It is produced by Marumo Printing, a 93-year-old printing company located in Mitoyo City, western Kagawa Prefecture, which specializes in printing techniques and meticulous craftsmanship down to the smallest details. Their signature product, globes, are easy for anyone to assemble without the need for glue or scissors, and are currently available in 23 countries around the world, primarily in museum shops at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Louisiana Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian Museum.
The store visuals for this event were created by DRILL DESIGN, a team of Yusuke Hayashi and Yoko Anzai, who also handle the direction and design of Geographia. Their product design-based store visuals explore a new approach to in-store display, with a theme of "global connections."
