On April 27th, British bag brand Jas-M.B. relocated its only street-level store in Japan from Omotesando to Daikanyama (103 Mitsuhashiso, 20-13 Sarugakucho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo). Designer Jas Sehmbi, who visited Japan for the opening, said of the new store, "I like both the location and the size. The interior is simple and classic Japanese, giving it a home-like atmosphere rather than a shop." In addition to classic and new collections made in the UK, the store also carries leather sneakers and Made-in-Japan wallets exclusive to the street-level store. "Boston, shoulder, and tote bags are classic and popular items. This store offers sizes and colors tailored to Japanese tastes. 70-80% of our customers are men, and we're a fan of those in their 20s and 30s. This season, we're also creating accessories in vibrant pinks and blues for women," Jas said.
He will be in the store until the 29th and will be interacting with fans. In addition, to commemorate the opening, leather card cases and iPad cases will be given away to customers until the same day (limited quantities each day).
