Now in its fourth year, Singapore's fashion event, Asia Fashion Exchange 2013 (AFX), will be held at the Marina Promenade from May 13th to 19th.
AFX will be centered around four events: Audi Fashion Festival Singapore (AFF), BLUEPRINT, Audi Star Creations (ASC), and Asia Fashion Summit (AFS), with a variety of events planned, including trade shows and business meetings.
At the opening of AFF, Carolina Herrera, Hussein Chalayan, and Tsumori Chisato will present their 2013-14 AW collections. Participating designers from Singapore include RAOUL, Ashley Isham, Zardozë, and Ong Shunmugam.
Collections by emerging designers will also be shown at PARCO next NEXT, a project launched by Japan's Parco Co., Ltd. to nurture young Singaporean designers, and at ASC, which brings together 12 designers from eight countries: Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, China, Japan, Mongolia, and Thailand.
More than 180 brands from Korea, Thailand, France, Taiwan, and other countries will be participating in the international exhibition Blueprint. At the international conference AFS, more than 30 speakers, including executives from Abercrombie & Fitch and the Asia director of Galeries Lafayette, will discuss topics such as new Asian customer demographics and the services needed in Asia, marketing strategies for tourists, and how to utilize social networks in brand business. Seminars on trends and business strategies are also scheduled.
