Uniqlo's graphic T-shirt brand, "UT," will be releasing its first collaboration with Kenshi Yonezu, which has been a hot topic since its pre-sale in the US and Canada, in Uniqlo stores around the world, starting from August 14th. This collection marks Kenshi Yonezu's first collaboration with an apparel brand, and features a lineup of outstanding designs that incorporate the unique worldview of Yonezu, a top artist leading the Japanese music scene who also demonstrates his talent as an illustrator, into the graphics. This is a special collection that even non-fans will want to get their hands on.

The other day, I went to UNIQLO's New York A collaborative wrapping featuring an illustration drawn by Kenshi Yonezu himself decorating the exterior wall suddenly appeared on 5th Avenue. The announcement coincided with the launch of the first-ever virtual event by a Japanese player for the hugely popular online game "FORTNITE," which boasts over 350 million players worldwide, on August 7th, creating a buzz in the US and around the world. This collaborative wrapping will be featured at UNIQLO PARK Yokohama Bayside, as well as at Uniqlo stores across Japan and China, for a total of eight stores worldwide, further promoting the first collaboration between Kenshi Yonezu and "UT."

Harajuku Store Comment from Kenshi Yonezu

"Uniqlo has always been a part of my life. I feel like I understand now how difficult it is to recreate that. I want to show my respect for Uniqlo, who embraces what is so ordinary."
