A website has opened where you can enjoy 3D projection mapping in Tokyo

Apr 12, 2013

Roppongi Hills will open "Tokyo City Symphony," a website on April 23rd that allows users to freely create 3D projection mapping onto a model of Tokyo's cityscape. The city model, which recreates the cityscape of Tokyo, covering an area of approximately 2,600 hectares, is 1/1000 scale, and allows users to freely project motifs such as future cities and traditional Japanese themes such as flowers, birds, wind, and moon. By simply touching a PC keyboard, users can "play" these images as if playing a piano. The completed video can also be shared worldwide via Facebook and Twitter. Tsubasa Ohyagi of Hakuhodo is the creative director for the project. Roppongi Hills' 10th anniversary theme is "LOVE TOKYO," and various projects are planned to make Tokyo a more fun, attractive, and world-class city.
