Chanel features Karl's watercolor flowers on bags and shoes [Today's item]

Apr 3, 2015

For the CHANEL 15SS collection, watercolors by Karl Lagerfeld are printed on a variety of items, including clothing and accessories. The flowers, rendered in a tie-dye pattern that blurs together a pink base with red, purple, orange, and yellow, evoke a dreamy, lively vitality and spirit of freedom. The same print is also boldly featured all over a suede calfskin bag (506,000 yen / H25.5 x W28 x D8.5cm). The bag's thick, messenger-bag-style form is perfect for everyday use, and the wide, stable shoulder strap is adjustable in length. Peace signs and the CHANEL logo scattered across the strap create a peaceful and playful look.

Other items in the same motif series include short boots (149,000 yen / 4.5cm heel) and shoes (131,000 yen / 4.5cm heel) characterized by intricate cutting, as well as long boots (193,000 yen / 1.5cm heel) that play with contrasts in color and texture by using black patent calfskin partially on the toe and heel. The entire collection is saturated in a colorful palette.
