Learned the basics of clothing making at Bunka Fashion College. Won a contest and studied abroad at Nottingham University of Art and Design in the UK. After returning to Japan, he presented his first 2015 Autumn/Winter collection as YOHEI OHNO in 2015.
2016: Winner of the 3rd TOKYO FASHION AWARD
2018: Selected for Italian VOGUE's "VOGUE TALENT 2018"
2018: Selected as a finalist for the International Woolmark Prize
In addition to the 2019 seasonal collection, he launched the new "DRESS LINE"
2021: Launched the "3711 Project" using second-hand kimono bolts.
