Nestle Japan Co., Ltd. will open the KitKat Chocolatory Miyashita Park Shibuya store on August 4th.




KitKat Chocolatory is a specialty store that delivers Premium KitKats made with the utmost care in ingredients and production methods, under the full supervision of Yasumasa Takagi, the owner chef of Le Patissier Takagi. The store offers a wide selection of products perfect as small gifts for family, friends, and colleagues, or as a treat for yourself, and has received positive reviews from customers. The Miyashita Park Shibuya store, opening on August 4th as the eighth store nationwide and the fourth in Tokyo, is the first "KitKat Chocolatory" to be an experiential shop. It will offer a world-first service that allows customers to freely create their own "Original KitKat," as well as a "KitKat"-designed piano that anyone can play. The store will also offer exclusive sweets, such as fluffy, moist waffle-like KitKat treats and a rich, deep-flavored original soft serve ice cream made with luxurious couverture chocolate. Additionally, the store will offer a wide variety of cafe menu items, including capsule coffee, a dedicated coffee maker, and Nespresso, a company committed to providing total support for the ultimate coffee experience. The cafe offers a seasonal limited-edition coffee menu and a pairing experience with Chocolatory products, perfect for relaxing in the lush green park. The pop-designed wall art, typical of Shibuya, features illustrations of a cyclist surprised by an oversized KitKat popping out of the wall, and a bronze statue of Hachiko, the adorable loyal dog, waiting with a KitKat bar in his mouth, making it a great photo spot.

"Original KitKat" Service Overview

・Features: A world-first experience service that allows you to handcraft your own one-of-a-kind "Original KitKat." Includes one drink(※2).
・Time required: Approximately 70 minutes (30 minutes preparation time + 30 minutes refrigeration time + 10 minutes extra) *Operation times are from 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm, for a total of 5 sessions per day (※3)
・Number of participants: Up to 6 people per session (※4)
・Price (excluding tax): 2,000 yen
・Reservation method: Reservation tickets for each session on the day will be sold in-store from 11:00am

1. Chocolate: Choose one of three types
2. Topping ingredients: Choose four of 17 types
3. Take-out box: Choose one of six designs
4. Cut the KitKat wafers
5. Pour the chocolate into the KitKat mold (※5)
6. Press the wafers into the chocolate
7. Use a spatula to smooth the surface and finish the bottom of the KitKat
8. Add toppings of your choice to finish the bottom
9. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to harden, then package and finish (※6)

This is the world's first KitKat specialty store, fully supervised by Takagi Yasumasa, the owner and chef of Le Patissier Takagi, who has been involved in the development of KitKat since 2003 and has discovered new appeal for KitKat through the development of numerous products he has supervised. The shop's name, "Chocolatory," is a combination of the words "chocolatier" and "chocolate factory." Takagi Yasumasa
