Louis Vuitton will release its first unisex new fine jewelry collection, "LV Volt," on August 14th.

A limited-time store will be open at the Hankyu Umeda store from August 12th to 25th. From August 14th, the collection will be available globally at six other stores in Japan (Matsuya Ginza, Omotesando, Maison Osaka Midosuji, Yokohama Takashimaya, Seibu Ikebukuro, and Matsuzakaya Nagoya), and will then be rolled out to other stores in Japan from September 15th. The new fine jewelry collection, "LV Volt," by Francesca Amfitheatrof, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton Watches & Fine Jewelry, features a design that puts the spotlight on the capital letters "L" and "V." The Maison's iconic initials are sculpted into a sculptural design that combines a metaphor for movement, an allegory for momentum, an explanation of essentials, and a symbol of speed. The main lines become units of measurement in a universal language, and the powerful, graphic characteristics are reborn in a design that transcends borders and gender.


Chapter 1 presents an authentic design that incorporates the letter "L" and the letter "V" in their pure form. Sharp lines pierce space, creating a variety of angles, overlapping brilliant gold and fiery diamonds. The letters "L" and "V" sometimes come together, sometimes separate, sometimes come together, sometimes separate, contrast, blend, pile up, intertwine, and complete each other. The Maison's iconic symbols unexpectedly intertwine in complex ways, vividly depicting a story exploring light, space, and rhythm.



In Chapter 2, the rhythm becomes more upbeat—more elaborate and intricate designs abound. The letters "L" and "V" are transformed into chain links, featuring a myriad of textures, volumes, finishes, and dimensions. The initials then materialize one after the other, appearing as tubular structures, like prisms of light. The collection's finale is a departure from abstraction. The two letters form claws that stack on the fingers and then flow onto the bandana as dynamic embroidery.




Each piece of fine jewelry is transformed by Louis Vuitton's craftsmanship into a conversation of precise, clean lines and soft, smooth contours. This exceptionally unisex collection embodies the vibrant power of the leitmotif and the bold statement of the manifesto, allowing for a variety of combinations. Drawing on the abstract art forms that have been carefully cultivated throughout the Maison's history, it finds energy, sets the tempo, establishes rhythm and creates a new beat.
