Hermès has released a new eau de toilette, "Li's Garden" (100ml/15,000 yen). It's available at Hermès boutiques and in the Hermès perfume section.
This eau de toilette was created by Hermès' in-house perfumer, Jean-Claude Ellena, based on the 2015 theme, "Flâneur-e-l'ouverture." Fascinated by China, where an ancient saying exists that "life begins the day you start gardening," Jean-Claude Ellena visited numerous Chinese gardens and was inspired by the symbolic power they share.
The new garden fragrance, "Li's Garden," was created with the scent of ponds, damp pebbles, jasmine, plum and kumquat trees, and vast bamboo forests in mind. Upon application, a crisp, refreshing lemon scent wafts through the air, followed by earthy, comforting notes evoking the majestic landscape. The packaging features an illustration by Chinese contemporary artist Li Xin. The landscape depicts a hidden region, painted on tissue paper in delicate shades of gray. The packaging is adorned with a mix of majestic Jaune Impérial (Imperial Yellow) and vibrant, stimulating anise green, beautifully complementing the bottle.
