Dior has unveiled Maria Grazia Chiuri's 2021 Cruise Collection. Maria Grazia Chiuri chose Lecce, Puglia, Italy, a place dear to her heart, as the setting for the collection's presentation.
The show, held without an audience to celebrate the beauty of arts and crafts, was adorned with Luminarie (illuminations) by artist Marinella Senatore and cathartic dance rhythms performed by La Notte della Taranta Foundation, choreographed by Sharon Eyal. Music by Paolo Buonvino played in the background, adding an additional layer of magic to the beautiful, ritual-like show.

As a subtle homage to local savoir-faire, the iconic Dior silhouette is reimagined in the spirit of the motto of the Le Constantine Foundation's ateliers: "Amando e Cantando." (Italian for "to love and to sing")," and the collection is crafted with exceptional craftsmanship.
Artist Pietro Ruffo has imagined a field covered in wheat ears, evoking a summer landscape, in sympathy with the iconic Miss Dior dress, released by Christian Dior in 1949. Untouched nature adorns the light dresses and various other items.
The flowers and butterflies beautifully decorated on the dress are expressed in the precious and traditional tombolo embroidery by Marilena Spalasci.
All of these are symbols of the rich heritage that lives in Puglia and are an endless source of inspiration.
