Adidas' iconic Superstar shoe celebrates its 45th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, the adidas Timing watch line will release the new "adh-1969" collection for Summer 2015. The most distinctive feature of this collection is the bezel design. The Superstar's most iconic rubber shell toe is incorporated at the 3 o'clock position. This shell-shaped detail was originally found on the Superstar's toe for stability and foot protection during jumps. Other features include bar indexes on the bezel and classic dots on the dial. The stainless steel casing evokes the retro feel of the 1970s, when the shoe was first released. The leather straps also have a texture reminiscent of all-leather shoes. The collection consists of three styles, with prices starting at 18,500 yen. Additionally, the "ADH1969" (65,000 yen) is available, with a gold base and sapphire crystal for the crystal. Each is serially numbered and is limited to 500 pieces worldwide.

All items excluding the limited edition will be available from May at adidas stores, time + style, WSI, and other major watch specialty stores nationwide.
