House of Art, Inc. (headquarters: Kyoto City) has pre-launched "FOTOFIG," a service that creates 3D printed figures from photographs.

The entire process, from ordering to taking photos and sending the data, can be completed on a smartphone. By submitting four photos taken from the top, bottom, left, and right, a realistic, full-color plaster 3D printed figure created by a CG creator will arrive in about a month. It is also targeted at demand as a commemorative item for weddings, Shichi-Go-San (7-5-3), entrance ceremonies, and other special occasions.

A beta test campaign will be held until the end of August, during which customers who allow their images to be posted on the website will be offered a special price of 10,000 yen off the regular price. The regular price is 29,800 yen for 3D data creation only, and 39,800 yen including the 3D printed figure. An additional 1,000 yen will be charged for shipping the figure.
