MARNI's new "100 Chairs" collection, featuring colorful PVC on a metal frame, will be available for pre-sale at the Ron Herman Sendagaya store from the 17th. The lineup includes a long chair (78,750 yen) color-blocked in green, yellow, and black, a rocking chair (59,850 yen) in blue, orange, and black, and a children's model with a table (43,050 yen). The collection will be available at the Ron Herman Sendagaya store until September 1st, and will be gradually rolled out at Marni and Ron Herman stores through December. The collection was first unveiled at the Milan Salone in 2012. All pieces are handmade by former Colombian prisoners, serving as a way for them to reintegrate into society. This project was the only fashion brand to be nominated in the furniture category of the Designs of the Year 2013 awards, organized by the Design Museum London, and was exhibited at the museum until the 7th of last month.
