Highlights of the Exhibition
"Recollections of the Unknown" is a solo exhibition that provides a bird's-eye view of Yoichi Ochiai's work from 2017 to 2020. This is his largest solo exhibition since "Longing for Mass" in 2019, and will feature over 40 works, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and media art, spanning an area of over 660 square meters.

A Bird's-Eye View of Yoichi Ochiai's Activities
Media artist Yoichi Ochiai writes in his artist statement, "Confronting the materializing computer nature, I ruminate on the yearning and passion that lies between image and mass." "Recollections of the Unknown" is also the theme of his YouTube channel, launched in 2020, and sublimates his four-year creative concept, positioning it as an exploratory activity that leads from a new everyday life to a new rediscovery of nature.

In his activities, he explores, examines, and forges new contexts to transform the "joy and excitement of striving for the unknown" into an experience. This process encompasses the restructuring of past works and the sublimation of his vast research and social activism into artworks by snapshotting them.
