Spotify launched "Soundtrack Your Workout," a service that automatically creates personalized workout playlists, on July 9th. A dedicated website has also been launched.

For Spotify users looking for new ways to exercise at home or outdoors, the service suggests personalized workout playlists based on their preferred music preferences.
By simply answering a few simple questions on the site, such as the type of workout, duration, intensity, mood, and who they'll be exercising with, and syncing their Spotify account, they can create a playlist that reflects their preferences and serves as the perfect background music for their upcoming workout.
You can easily share your completed playlists on social media like Instagram and Twitter. You can even customize the playlist cover with your favorite photo.
In developing this site, Spotify collaborated with Corey Calliet, a personal trainer to many celebrities, to refine the playlist generation process.

In addition, in conjunction with the launch of this site, Spotify also conducted research into how users listen to music and podcasts while working out. The results revealed that 53% of listeners who listened to music or podcasts while working out in the last month were between the ages of 18 and 29.
The results also revealed that the song most frequently featured on workout playlists worldwide, for both men and women, is "Roses - Imanbek Remix" by SAINt JHN and Imanbek.

"Music keeps me motivated and keeps me moving at the pace I need to for my workouts. When I create a playlist, I want to exercise to the rhythm of the music. I never thought I'd be able to create a playlist that matches my workout and motivation in less time than it takes to grab a bottle of water and go outside."
