The theme of the 2020-21 Autumn/Winter Collection is "REBELLIOUS."
Proposing an antithesis to "Western beauty," the collection's worldview is focused on patterns, silhouettes, and textures.

By adding rebellious coloring to paintings by four of the world's most renowned artists (Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Odilon Redon, and Vincent van Gogh), the original camouflaged patterns are expressed in flowing textiles such as silk velvet and rayon lawn.

In addition to offering a wide range of items incorporating a variety of colors and patterns that rebel against the color black, which is part of Yohji Yamamoto's DNA, the collection also offers new variations on items such as a cape-style jacket that breaks down the structured shoulders that are a distinctive feature of tailored jackets, and shirts, jackets, and pants that combine with detachable bags that can be attached and detached with Velcro.

The key visual models are Fukagawa Mai, who appeared in a morning drama last year and is currently active in dramas and movies, and Kamio Fuju, an actor who is attracting attention in dramas and movies.

・Camille Pissarro
1830-1903 French painter. A master who was a central figure in the Impressionist movement. He painted rural landscapes using rich colors and a bold, lingering brushstroke style, as well as gentle and lively expressions and a palette knife painting technique modeled after Gustave Courbet, and is highly regarded even today as one of the most representative Impressionist painters.

・Edgar Degas
1834-1917 French impressionist painter and sculptor. Depicting modern urban life using classical techniques, Degas positioned himself as the "classical painter of modern life." Many of his works feature ballet as a theme, as well as interior scenes featuring prostitutes.

・Odilon Redon
1840-1916 French painter. Although of the same generation as the impressionist painters, his style and themes were very different, and he continued to paint fantasy worlds. He was friends with symbolist literary figures, and is sometimes classified as a symbolist.

・Vincent van Gogh
1853-1890 Dutch post-impressionist painter. He was mainly active in France. Influenced by Impressionism and Japanese Ukiyo-e, he established his own unique style of painting with intense colors and bold brushstrokes. He is also considered a pioneer of Expressionism and Fauvism.
