Milly opens three stores in Ginza and Kyoto. Limited edition print dresses also on sale.

Aug 19, 2013

New York brand MILLY will open three stores in Japan in September. The Matsuya Ginza store will open on the 3rd, the Ginza Mitsukoshi store on the 4th, and the Kyoto Takashimaya store on the 6th.

Each store will stock a collection of clothing and bags, and the Kyoto Takashimaya store will also carry the kids' line, Milly Minis. To commemorate the openings, all five stores -- the three new stores, the Omotesando Hills store, and the Osaka Takashimaya store -- will sell print dresses exclusive to each store. Prices range from 66,150 yen to 79,800 yen.

This fall/winter collection features tailored items and feminine dresses inspired by the city's beautiful night views. The logo has also been redesigned with a more graphic design this season. The brand was founded in 2001 by designer Michelle Smith, who gained experience at Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior Haute Couture, and other brands. The brand is also a favorite of celebrities such as Beyonce and Cameron Diaz. In Japan, the first shop opened in Omotesando Hills in 2009.
