A demonstration of hand-stitching on bags will be held at the FENDI store on the fourth floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store from August 23rd to 25th. A corner will be set up in the store, where artisans will demonstrate the stitching process for the Peekaboo 1522 handbag (446,250 yen) from the Selleria series. The numbers in the product names represent the number of stitches on the bag. "Fendi stitching is characterized by a 6mm width and is like an icon. 5mm would change the atmosphere," commented an Italian artisan. During this period, customers who purchase a Selleria bag will receive a free black card case kit made from the same material. Customers can complete the card case by stitching it themselves, and they can receive a stitching lesson from the artisan on the spot, along with a hot initial stamping service. Selleria means "saddlery workshop." The company began when the founders, Mr. and Mrs. Fendi, focused on traditional saddlery manufacturing methods and began producing bags using high-quality leather. In 1994, designer Silvia Fendi, the third generation of the founding family, launched a series of leather products called Selleria, featuring distinctive materials and stitching. The material is calfskin that has been tanned over time, which is characterized by its softness, durability, and natural grain. Starting this fall/winter, the series has been renewed, and models bearing the names of five women in the Fendi family have been released. These include the "Adele 723" (326,550 yen), "Anna 1013" (296,100 yen), and "Carla 454" (244,650 yen).
