hpgrp Gallery Tokyo will be hosting "Birth of the Birthday," an exhibition of new works by bronze sculptor Kazuhiro Ito, from September 25th to October 20th.

In this exhibition, Ito, who has previously created works using his own unique techniques, will be showcasing a new venture. For many years, Ito has created works from blocks of bronze themselves, without the need for prototype creation, which is essential for typical bronze sculptures. However, this time, he says he has "come to understand the material bronze a little better," and has returned to the technique of creating works from wax prototypes to experiment with new forms of expression.

Ito was born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1972. After graduating from the Department of Industrial, Craft and Interior Design at Musashino Art University, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
