Aug 14, 2013

MY LITTLE PARIS, a women's website currently popular with Parisians, France, and Belgium for its high-quality lifestyle information, is launching its beauty box, MY LITTLE BOX, in Japan. MY LITTLE BOX is filled with beauty items available for subscription to subscribers. Based on a monthly theme, the set includes miniature bottles of beauty products from popular brands such as Dior, Guerlain, Lancome, John Masters Organics, Kiehl's, and L'Occitane, as well as sunglasses, collar decorations, hair accessories, and stationery. Currently, approximately 60,000 people in France and Belgium are subscribing to the box. Orders in Japan will begin at the end of August, with deliveries starting in October. The box is expected to cost around ¥3,000.

The site began in Paris in 2008 as a newsletter among 50 members, and its popularity grew through word of mouth. It now boasts approximately 1 million members. It has also collaborated with luxury brands such as Dior and Hermès.

All illustrations on the site are by Japanese illustrator Kanako Kokonoe. Kokonoe graduated from Tama Art University and moved to Paris in 2005. After a chance encounter with Amandine Pechioda, editor-in-chief of "MY LITTLE PARIS," Kanako was asked to create illustrations for the site. A joint project with the city of Paris, "LES PARISIENS," is running until August 28th, and around 50 of Kanako's illustrations are on display in around 1,000 locations, mainly on outdoor boards around Paris.
