To celebrate this special anniversary, the brand has announced the release of the TAG Heuer Carrera 160th Anniversary Montreal Limited Edition, a reproduction of the Montreal, a watch with a striking brilliance and elegance that was released in 1972, in a limited run of 1,000 pieces worldwide, and the TAG Heuer Carrera 160th Anniversary Silver Limited Edition, which combines the Heuer Carrera design from the 1960s with innovative 21st-century watchmaking technology, in a limited run of 1,860 pieces worldwide, the same number as the year the brand was founded.

Now, the Montreal has been spectacularly reissued in the elegant 39 mm TAG Heuer Carrera design, limited to 1,000 pieces. The Heuer logo appears at 12 o'clock. This exceptional timepiece's matte white dial features three counters featuring blue "azurage." The chronograph hour counter at the o'clock position features three curved lines extending from 1 to 5, 10 to 15, and 20 to 25, as well as the central minute and hour hands, filled with yellow Super-LumiNova®. The central chronograph seconds hand features a bold, distinct red lacquer finish.
The dial is protected by a domed "glass box" sapphire crystal. The polished finish of the timepiece, paired with a blue alligator leather strap, highlights the subtle color of the dial. The case back, which shows the innovative Caliber Heuer 02 and its rotor through sapphire crystal, is engraved with the words "Limited Edition" and serial number. The first model, fitting for this anniversary, is the TAG Heuer Carrera 160th Anniversary Silver Limited Edition, a reproduction of the 1964 monochrome silver dial model known as the "2447S," best known for its three blue counters and starburst-inspired silver dial.

This model is now available with the latest in-house Heuer 02 movement. Many of the original's outstanding design elements are retained, including the timelessly elegant dial and polished case and pushers. However, the shape is slightly different, with the case diameter increasing from 36 mm to 39 mm. Due to differences in the structure of the Valjoux 72 movement adopted in 1963 and the Calibre Heuer 02 movement used in this model, the perpetual seconds hand, previously at 9 o'clock, has been moved to 6 o'clock. The case back is engraved with the words "One of 1860" and "LIMITED EDITION."
Another change is the central hour and minute hands, which are now beveled and coated with beige Super-LumiNova®. The Carrera name and Heuer logo are clearly printed on the dial, and are covered by a domed sapphire crystal, creating a finish reminiscent of the original Heuer Carrera.
The newly designed rotor, visible through the screw-down sapphire crystal, features a lacquered engraving indicating the anniversary edition, and the watch also comes in special packaging.
