MOSCOT, a long-established eyeglasses store in Lower Manhattan, opens in New Man Yokohama

Five years after MOSCOT's first store in Japan opened on Aoyama Antique Street in 2015, the long-awaited second store in Japan will open at NEWoMan YOKOHAMA on June 24, 2020.

Founder Hyman Moscot opened his eyewear store, "MOSCOT," in Lower Manhattan in 1915. Moscot's timeless eyewear designs, created with the expertise and craftsmanship it has cultivated over the past 105 years, have been beloved by numerous cultural figures and artists. Born in New York, the iconic eyewear brand continues to captivate fans around the world. MOSCOT YOKOHAMA will showcase the Moscot eyewear collection in a uniquely Moscot-inspired setting, featuring everything from vintage furniture and personal details related to the Moscot family, to the tin ceiling typical of New York's historic Lower Manhattan architecture, and a custom-made chandelier with a fan that provides light and breeze for shoppers, creating a nostalgic atmosphere that will make you feel like you've stepped into great-grandmother Sylvia's living room.


MOSCOT YOKOHAMA Limited Edition Model Released


To commemorate the opening, we will be releasing a YOKOHAMA limited edition color of the ever-popular "LEMTOSH." The unique frame color, which fades from dark to light brown, is a rare color not found in standard colors.
