The collection's defining feature is its elegant, timeless designs, created by fusing Giorgio Armani's timeless Italian style with Japan's latest technological innovations. Designer Yuichi Toyama's commitment to creativity, discovery, and innovation, as well as his history of pushing the boundaries of Japanese manufacturing technology, made it possible for him to combine traditional Japanese craftsmanship with minimalist beauty in this collection.

Italian elegance and attention to detail are expressed in the premium frame material, Japanese titanium, resulting in a top-of-the-line eyewear that combines the appeal of high-quality materials, lightness, comfort, and stylish design. The aesthetics of structure and function are evident throughout.

The campaign visuals announced this time were shot at Sayamaike Museum on the outskirts of Osaka, one of the works of Tadao Ando, a leading Japanese architect known for his beautiful expression of shadow, who is a close friend of Giorgio Armani and was responsible for the construction of the Armani/Teatro in Milan. The sun shining on the geometric concrete shapes that are a characteristic of Ando's architecture highlights the shadows (Shadow/Black), and this harmony further highlights the delicate beauty of the eyewear.

Yuichi Toyama, designer of "YUICHI TOYAMA.", said, "One of the reasons I decided to become an eyewear designer was because I encountered Giorgio Armani's eyewear collection in the late 1980s. I am both honored and proud to have now, after nearly 30 years, been able to work together with him to create the entire capsule collection, from the concept to the eyewear, visuals, cases and more."

About the Product
The items in the collection are made in Fukui Prefecture, where over 96% of "Made in Japan" eyewear is produced. The unisex collection features four styles and four colors, reflecting the world's finest "Made in Japan" traditional craftsmanship and innovative design. The design features Toyama's signature "Double Dutch" design, introduced in 2016. This design is inspired by the "Double Dutch" rope skipping sport, in which two facing turners spin a rope in opposite directions while one or more jumpers simultaneously jump along the rope. Born from a playful spirit, the "Double Dutch" design has become synonymous with YUICHI TOYAMA. The fusion of Giorgio Armani's Italian classic style and "Double Dutch" creates a unique, minimalist silhouette that highlights the functional beauty of eyewear.
