Salvatore Ferragamo will launch its made-to-order tie service, "TIES MTO," on June 15th. This service, which allows customers to customize ties to fit their individual physiques, was launched in line with the brand's goal of offering a comprehensive made-to-order line of suits, belts, shoes, and more for men. The 2015 Autumn/Winter Pre-Fall collection offers 11 styles. In addition to the standard 150cm length, new lengths of 140cm and 160cm have been added. Widths range from 6, 7, and 8cm, and customers can choose from over 50 colors. Customers can also choose to add up to three initials, or two initials and two periods, to the back of the tie. The price is ¥29,000. Delivery takes two months, and the service is available in Japan at the Ginza flagship store, Osaka Umeda flagship store, Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store, and Hankyu Men's Osaka. To celebrate the launch of the service, a short film directed by Jean-Claude Thibaud was also released on the official website. The film expresses the concept that "fashion should always reflect the individuality of the wearer," depicting the tie as a symbol of respect and self-esteem. The four episodes include "A Master Contemplation," inspired by the words of a Japanese monk; "Your Own Way," which demonstrates how different details can completely change the impression you make on others; "The Gentleman Upstairs Legacy," and "A Variation on Elegance." Each episode depicts the protagonists holding different opinions but ultimately reaching amicable and diplomatic compromise.
