Spotify, the music streaming service used by over 286 million users worldwide, will begin streaming its original podcast, "Kemio's Ear Cleaning Club," on June 20th. Kemio, a youth opinion leader who has created various trends through social media and video sharing sites, will host the show. Each episode features guests who Kemio most wants to meet or are at the forefront of their fields of interest, and the goal is to "follow your curiosity and absorb as much as you can through your ears." For the memorable first episode, we have invited HIKAKIN, who pioneered the profession of YouTuber in Japan, to be our guest. We will trace his journey up to now and have fun exploring how he plans his projects, how he manages his time, what he values most now, and more.
Various projects will also be developed from time to time, including the "Tell us your sad songs" corner, where we ask what songs he listens to when he's feeling down.
kemio's Comment
"I wanted to try my hand at audio communication, and I became interested in podcasts, which are popular in the US where I live. The appeal of podcasts is that they're easy to enjoy while doing other things, and they allow you to explore your interests. With Spotify, you can switch back and forth between podcasts and music, so you can enjoy them while traveling, like on a plane. I recommend them to anyone who wants to recharge their brain with new stimulation."
