TAG Heuer Announces Second Collaboration Model with Hiroshi Fujiwara's Fragment Design

Jun 18, 2020
Swiss luxury watch brand TAG Heuer announces its second collaboration with music producer and renowned Japanese creator Hiroshi Fujiwara.

Building on the great success of its first collaboration with Fragment Design in 2018, this latest collaboration is bold and minimalist, reflecting TAG Heuer's motor racing heritage and bold design. This model features a high-end ceramic bezel, a five-piece stainless steel bracelet, and a vibrant red sapphire caseback.

The perfectly proportioned, minimalist style highlights the iconic tachymeter scale on the bezel, while excessive decoration has been eliminated to leave the dial clear. The black opaline dial features black embossed sub-counters at 3 and 9 o'clock. The white "TAG Heuer" and "FRAGMENT" logos contrast well against the black dial. Red indexes and red lacquered hands add a pop of color to this high-contrast composition.

The watch is equipped with the in-house Heuer 02 movement, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 80 hours, demonstrating TAG Heuer's mastery of watchmaking design and engineering. The red sapphire case back features the Fragment Design logo and is engraved with a limited edition serial number ranging from 1 to 500. The bracelet is made of stainless steel and features a butterfly folding clasp. It is finely polished to allow light to reach the watch with every movement.

This model will be available for pre-sale at the TAG Heuer official online boutique (www.tagheuer.com). The "TAG Heuer x Fragment Design Calibre Heuer 02 Chronograph" is limited to 500 pieces worldwide, each with a unique serial number. This original model combines Hiroshi Fujiwara's design sense with TAG Heuer's DNA.
