Dior held its 2015-16 Autumn/Winter collection fashion show at the National Art Center, Tokyo in Tokyo on June 16th. A special pink carpet, one of the house's key colors, was laid out on the second floor of the building, creating a special one-night runway. The show, which invited clients and media, was a repeat show of the collection presented at the Louvre in Paris in March. The looks featured a striking, open and exotic palette, including striking animal prints evocative of Amazonian and savannah creatures and reptiles, as well as fetishistic patent leather thigh-high boots. The makeup and hair appeared to have been slightly altered. At the finale, Pieter Mullier, Raf Simons' right-hand man for 10 years who also appeared in the film "Dior and I," appeared to greet the guests. The after-party was also attended by singer Rihanna, who watched the show from the front row, and Sidney Toleda, president and CEO of Christian Dior Couture. Other young Japanese celebrities in attendance included actresses Kaho and Hatsune Eriko, models Nanao, Rola, Mori Hikari, Mizuhara Yuka, singer Kato Miliyah, DJ Mademoiselle Yulia, and blogger Mappy. This was a major event, following on from the "Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015" exhibition held in Ginza last fall and the Fall Collection fashion show held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in December.
