Classic travel style found at DSMG. The star of the show is Mark Cross's "GRACE BOX" [Today's item]

Jun 20, 2015

The classic style found at Dover Street Market Ginza will inspire you to dream of a romantic journey, just like a scene from a movie.

The iconic "GRACE BOX" bag from MARK CROSS, a long-established brand founded in Boston, USA in 1984 and revived in 2011, is popular for its stripped-down square form and classic, traditional design. The "GRACE BOX" is a newly created model inspired by the Mark Cross overnight bag used by Grace Kelly in Alfred Hitchcock's classic film "Rear Window" (1954).
The box-type overnight bag featured in the film has been given a modern and elegant mini size. This season's "GRACE BOX" selection includes an all-leather bag in a sophisticated combination of red, black, and white (H9 x W19 x D14cm, 332,000 yen) and a rattan and leather bag (H11 x W22 x D17cm, 246,000 yen). The leather is made from high-quality Italian Saffiano leather, which feels smooth to the touch. The rattan part is hand-woven.

Other items available at Dover Street Market Ginza include a throw hat (32,000 yen) from German hat brand SCHA, sunglasses (21,000 yen) from eyewear brand SUN BUDDIES from Swedish select shop Tres Bien, and a stole (290x90cm, 24,000 yen) from completely handmade fabric brand KHADI & CO.
