Stella McCartney presented her Spring 2016 collection. Dynamic, free-flowing volumes and vibrant energy created by colors like orange, yellow, and pink are key themes for this season. The image of a modern woman, embodied in both masculine and feminine genders, is also key. Simple, masculine silhouettes were often the basis for the pieces. These included clean-lined tailoring with flowing lines, structured jackets and dresses with wrapped waists, and sharp tops and bottoms with triangular hems. Meanwhile, wildflower embroidery scattered across these linear pieces and a captivating collage of pop floral prints added a touch of femininity. Even black pieces featured lace hems. The running horse motifs that covered the entire fil coupé fabric pieces also conveyed a sense of dynamism.

For evening wear, the brand introduced parachute slip dresses in vibrant peony pink and orange, reminiscent of bright sunlight. The pleats created by the gold parts at the neckline create a free-flowing, airy and light silhouette. The boldly open back style exudes confidence.

A presentation to unveil the collection was held in New York on June 8th. Guests included models Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevingne, and Alexa Chung, as well as actress Liv Tyler, and many other celebrities.
