The Roppongi Astronomical Club, an astronomy event held at the Roppongi Hills Observatory and Tokyo City View, offers a variety of summer-only events, including the Tanabata Special Stargazing Event and the Perseid Meteor Shower Commentary Seminar. Roppongi Astronomical Club, an event where you can enjoy Tokyo's sparkling night view and starry sky, offers a variety of events throughout the year, and anyone is welcome to participate. This summer, a variety of events are available for couples, friends, families, and everyone to enjoy. On July 7th, the Tanabata Special Stargazing Event will be held, where you can enjoy the romantic night view and stargazing amid fantastical music. This day has been designated "Cool Ice Day" as part of the CO2 Reduction/Light Down Campaign, and various lights in the city, including Tokyo Tower, will be turned off. Participants can view the stars of Orihime and Hikoboshi, the Summer Triangle, Saturn, and more, accompanied by starry sky guide and "star sommelier" Tomohiro Izumi.

On August 12th, an "Perseid Meteor Shower Seminar" will be held, where astronomy experts will give a lecture on the best spots to observe and how to enjoy the Perseid meteor shower, one of the three major meteor showers that has become a summer tradition. The Perseid meteor shower is said to appear particularly frequently in the early hours of the 13th. We recommend attending the seminar in advance and then carefully observing it at home.

Other events will also be held on August 20th, including a stargazing event in search of Albireo, one of the most contrasting double stars in the celestial sphere, and a kids' workshop perfect for independent research, where participants will make their own authentic telescope.
