A change to the classic item, jeans! Styling that brings out your individuality without being bound by trends [Paris Snap]

Oct 24, 2023
Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2024 season took place from September 25th to October 3rd. In response to the runway's continued trend of "quiet luxury," which focuses on details and creates understated, quietly luxurious styles, the outfits worn by guests at the shows were also leaning towards more realistic and minimalist styles.

Jeans, a staple item that everyone owns, are also being modernized with designers looking at them from new perspectives. Off the runway, jeans, which are timeless and trend-free, changed their appearance flexibly to suit individual personalities, from minimalist looks that reflected "quiet luxury" to processed, decorative styles. The only common thread was a focus on comfort with slightly voluminous, relaxed silhouettes.

1. Create contrast with volume above and below

Fashion director Alexandra Karl, a regular in our snaps, has incorporated Scandinavian minimalism into a jeans style. The clever styling shines through in the contrast created by the sharp, fitted jacket, which contrasts with the volume of the baggy jeans worn low-waisted. The white T-shirt underneath adds a casual touch, and the overall look is full of originality with a vintage Chanel bag.

2. Timeless Black Jeans

Dolores, a Parisian model and businesswoman, wears a relaxed, straight-leg black jeans. She pairs high-waisted bottoms with cropped knitwear to create the illusion of longer legs. She accessorizes with a vintage Chanel Charlatan bag, showcasing a style that is typical of Parisians who appreciate natural beauty without being overly dressed up.

3. The latest style: curved jeans

Curved jeans, characterized by their relaxed silhouette, are a popular item these days among fashion lovers. Take a cue from styling that harmonizes casual and classic by pairing a white T-shirt with a well-tailored jacket. Wearing no jewelry and focusing on eye-catching sunglasses with colored lenses gives this look a trendy "quiet luxury" vibe.

4. Elegantly styled jeans

Seen at the Stella McCartney show, she was wearing a denim set from the brand. The dark blue denim is not too casual and brings out a sophisticated, mature look, and the understated design, stripped of decoration and decorated only with stitching, is very modern.

Extra Edition

From jeans that are worn in a decorative and fashionable way, denim is now incorporated into everything from outerwear to shoes. From elegant to punky, the appeal of jeans seems to be being rediscovered.
