Paris Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2024 season took place from September 25th to October 3rd. In response to the continued trend of "quiet luxury," which focuses on details and creates understated, quietly luxurious styles, the outfits worn by showgoers are also leaning toward more realistic and minimalist styles.
Red was the hottest color on the runway this season, adorning the collections of brands like Gucci, which was reborn under a new creative director, and The Row, which has gained acclaim since moving its presentation venue to Paris. Off the runway, the vibrant, eye-catching color also captured the attention of photographers. Uplifting outfits featuring red as the main color livened up fall/winter fashion, which tends to be dark in tone.
1. Retro look created with red

Mademoiselle Yulia, a DJ and singer who participated in Paris Fashion Week from Japan, wore an outfit that embodied Parisian classics, consisting of a Chanel knit dress, white tights, and Mary Janes. The gold buttons added to the retro atmosphere, and the red dress matched her hair color, exuding the unique charm of a fashionista.
2. Unify the tone with silver jewelry

A bright red dress is twisted with silver decorations to create an elegant silhouette. The accessories are black for a sharp impression. Furthermore, to match the decorations on the dress, the bag chain and earring jewelry are also silver, creating a harmonious overall balance. When using bright colors as the main focus, the key is to master the aesthetic of minimalism.
3. A casual take on red

This style incorporates red in a casual way, pairing a Chanel tweed jacket with jeans. Unlike the model in #2, she matches the gold buttons with gold jewelry such as a necklace and earrings, creating a unified look.
4. Femininity in full bloom with red as the main color

World-renowned model Sara Sampaio arrived in a dressy style incorporating red. Her advanced technique of creating color gradations using similar colors such as pink and orange is impressive! Red, which pairs well with tanned skin, brings out the exotic and alluring image of a woman.
Extra Edition
Even if you find bright colors a bit too much, why not start by incorporating them in parts, such as with accessories that add a pop of color or by matching the colors of your shoes and bag? To avoid overlapping colors and tones, we recommend refraining from using colorful makeup and using just red lipstick as a focal point.
