Designer Nomura Hitomi has made her debut with the look of her first collection, Spring/Summer 2020.
Nomat, based in Paris and Japan, debuted this season. The brand name "Nomat" is a coined word inspired by "nomad," and refers to "something that exists in this world but is invisible. A fictional place not found on any map."
This season's theme is "Fair is Foul, and Foul is Fair." The collection asks consumers, "Anyone can wear it, regardless of age or gender, without any preconceived notions. Anyone can wear it, with their own aesthetic and their own values."
The brand also plans to collaborate with a variety of artists across genres, and this season it has teamed up with French photographer Cécile Bortoletti and book artist Ota Yasutomo.
Available in Japan at United Arrows ROKU and BIO TOP. Overseas, the brand is also available at Tiina the Store (USA) and Mouki Mou (London, UK).
