In the summer of 2020, Tissot, a brand with over 80 years of history since it began making waterproof and dustproof watches, will release the Tissot Seastar 1000 Japan Limited Edition, a diver's watch made exclusively for Japan.



Over its long history of over 165 years since its founding, Tissot has established itself as a watchmaker beloved worldwide as "INNOVATORS BY TRADITION (innovators rooted in tradition, breaking with tradition)." While respecting tradition, Tissot has never rested on its laurels. Since 1938, the brand has consistently pursued technology, beauty, and quality. Since then, it has produced watches with a screw-down, sealed construction that ensures water resistance, dustproofness, and magnetic resistance. In summer 2020, Tissot, which has over 80 years of experience in producing waterproof and dustproof watches, will launch the Tissot Seastar 1000 Japan Limited Edition, a diver's watch made exclusively for Japan. This special limited edition model features a refined, subdued light gray and a specially crafted case. It comes with a canvas strap in the same color as the dial. The lustrous light gray dial pairs beautifully with both stainless steel bracelets and canvas straps. The subdued red of the second hand, evocative of Japan, the Land of the Rising Sun, adds a subtle yet elegant touch to the wrist, unlike diver's watches, which tend to be overbearing.

The base model is the Tissot Seastar 1000 Automatic Silicium, the top model in the Seastar collection, equipped with Tissot's flagship movement, the Powermatic 80 Silicium. In addition to a long power reserve of up to 80 hours and high magnetic resistance, it is equipped with a screw-down crown and case back, 30 bar water resistance, and a unidirectional ceramic bezel, making it a serious diver's watch. Its elegant design blends seamlessly with city style, making it a watch you'll want to wear every day.

The powerful movement of the Powermatic 80 Silicium, visible through the see-through case back, a rare feature for a diver's model, demonstrates the further evolution of the ultimate diver's watch, as Tissot continues to strive for excellence throughout the ages.
