Stella McCartney unveils its Winter 2023 campaign starring Kendall Jenner. Set in the Camargue Salt Flats of France, Harley Weir photographs the next generation model and equestrian alongside the region's famous white pony. The pony was raised by horse whisperer and rescuer Jean-François Pignon, marking a connection to the collection's runway show.

The Winter 2023 collection theme, "Horse Power," is expressed throughout the collection details and campaign. Unveiled during Paris Fashion Week at Manège de L'École Militaire, France's oldest riding school, the theme explores the connection between people and horses through Stella's personal relationships, family, art and history to this day.

Stella and Kendall Jenner share a lifelong love of horses, having both been equestrians since childhood. Kendall's poise is in harmony with Jean-François Pignon's beloved ponies, who hail from the South of France where the campaign was shot. Pignon protects the ponies, nurturing them without overpowering them and training them with a deep connection. Jenner's harmony with her ponies is reflected in the collection's equestrian elements, including rein-inspired rope details, quilting that reinterprets horse blankets, and jacquards inspired by Stella's family's Appaloosa horses. The unique and healing connection between people and horses will be further explored in the second campaign, launching later this fall.

Innovative materials include the "Flame" bag, made with a crocodile effect from discarded apples, the "S Wave" bag, and riding boots made from discarded grapes. This season's collection also features pieces crafted from materials made from mushroom mycelium and MIRUM®, a plastic-free, cruelty-free alternative to animal-derived leather. A circular, natural material, MIRUM can be recycled into new materials or returned to Mother Earth to nourish the soil. Made from 92% responsibly sourced materials, this season's collection is the brand's most sustainable winter collection in its history. Stella McCartney has never used animal leather, feathers, fur or exotic skins.

"I knew this season's Stella Girl had to be someone who, like me, loves horses. Kendall has been riding horses since she was a child and owns a horse farm. You can see how relaxed and at ease she is with these delicate animals. Capturing this connection through fashion and imagery brings our theme of 'Horse Power' to life."
