From January 24th to February 5th, BRICK & MORTAR in Nakameguro, Tokyo, will be hosting "Bilogue," the third exhibition of SMALL GALLERY, a small gallery that opens irregularly.
The exhibition, featuring Toru Toru, an ikebana instructor and owner of the ikebana studio and flower shop "Tumbler & FLOWERS," and Shu Murakami, an artist from BRICK & MORTAR, will feature ikebana and paintings that reflect an improvisational dialogue between the two, who have been friends for a long time and have been influenced by each other's work.
An ikebana class (participation fee: 3,500 yen, including vessel and flowers) will be held on January 27th, featuring Toru, where participants will learn the process of selecting flowers and vessels, arranging, and making adjustments. For the vessel, participants can choose from 15 varieties of "KOTSUBO" vases, an original brand from amabro.
