Takashi Murakami's exhibition "Takashi Murakami's Superflat Contemporary Ceramics" will be held at the Towada Art Center in Aomori Prefecture from March 11 to May 28. Murakami is not only an artist, but also a collector, curator, and gallerist. In recent years, Murakami has been particularly interested in Japanese contemporary ceramics. In addition to collecting ceramics, he also owns a contemporary ceramics shop called "Oz Zingaro" and has promoted his work overseas. Furthermore, last year's "Takashi Murakami's Superflat Collection - From Shohaku and Rosanjin to Kiefer" exhibition at the Yokohama Museum of Art, which garnered acclaim for its scale, featured approximately 400 pieces of contemporary ceramic art. This exhibition will feature approximately 300 pieces from Murakami's collection by 28 artists, ranging from works by contemporary ceramic artists to works by contemporary artists. Participating artists include Ryo Aoki, Masanobu Ando, Mori Murata, Aso Kojima, Yoshitomo Nara, Naoki Koide, Chiho Aoshima, Otani Studio, Gabriel Orozco, Rosemarie Trockel, and Klara Kristalova.
