Elegant and unique accessories from London [15-16 AW Men's]

Feb 10, 2015

In addition to the shows, brands offering shoes, socks, and a variety of accessories also held exhibitions at the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter London Men's Collection.

John Lobb, the first collection under new creative director Paula Gerbase, returned to the brand's identity and, inspired by John Lobb's own walking journey from his hometown of Cornwall to London in 1851, presented a collection that included not only city shoes but also boots with a strong outdoor feel, rubber soles, and sporty sneakers. Even the lasts were completely redesigned, but John Lobb's signature style shines through in details such as the use of buckles.

Kult Domini, a shoe brand making its first appearance at the London Men's Collection, only debuted in the 2014 Spring/Summer season, and this is its first full men's shoe collection in the 2015-16 Autumn/Winter season. The round-toe shoes, modeled after bowling shoes, are luxuriously crafted from pony skin.

At the exhibition, which features unique brands every season, one brand that has been gaining attention is London Sock, a sock-focused brand that was launched just a year and a half ago. The brand believes that "socks are the most accessible item in our quest to revive the British gentleman," and has lined up a selection of colorful socks. It's said that "a British gentleman wears a Savile Row suit, John Lobb shoes, and strange socks," so London gentlemen's feet are actually quite flashy. For gentlemen, socks are a tool that allows them to make a statement without standing out too much within the strict dress code. London Sock's main item was colorful cotton socks, and they also showed sets selected by popular model David Gandy, designs in collaboration with students from the London College of Fashion, and designs in collaboration with celebrity stylist Joe Otway.

HEDDON, a manufacturer of motorcycle and bicycle helmets, exhibited a helmet made from carbon fiber and fiberglass that meets safety standards not only in the UK but also in Japan and Korea. Their masks with carbon filters are also sure to be an interesting item for cyclists.
