Danish lifestyle brand SKAGEN has unveiled a capsule collection by designer Camilla Staerk and model/photographer Helena Christensen. The collection combines the unique creativity of these two Danish artists with Skagen's modern, minimalist design ethos. The silhouette of a soaring swallow, a symbol of freedom, is richly carved into gold-plated brass. The cool contrasting gold tones are reminiscent of the Danish lighthouses known as the "Skagen Painters." The lineup includes three pieces: a ring, a bracelet, and a brooch. The brooch can also be worn as a pendant or necklace. Prices range from $100 to $250. The collection will be available in May at Skagen stores and on the brand's official website. Stark and Christensen said of the collaboration, "Collaborating with Skagen and designing the pieces has been an incredible creative journey. We both share a unique aesthetic rooted in Danish legend, which is so familiar to us, so the merging of our visions was a natural progression." Maritza Skocchi, Skagen's Chief Creative Officer, also said, "This project was ideal for us to reach a common understanding about the future direction of Skagen jewelry."
