
G-Star RAW has unveiled the campaign visuals for its Spring/Summer 2015 collection.
The campaign was created by Ellen von Unwerth, who retired from fashion modeling and has since worked as a photographer and film director. Through the campaign, she explores the free-spirited air of jeans, the essence and potential of jeans, and expresses how jeans can be worn in a unique and individual way.
The campaign features a variety of variations of the brand's jeans, ranging from skinny fit to loose fit, raw denim to distressed denim, and dark indigo to chalk white. The collection offers a wide range of styles for both men and women, from modern to timeless.
The women's jeans, in particular, are designed to flatter the figure to the fullest. Every detail, from shape and size to the placement of back pockets and side seams and the ideal waist position, has been meticulously researched and designed.
Anworth said, "The models I chose are not only sexy and feminine, but also competitive, engaging, and passionate. G-Star has always had a natural, youthful, and raw side, which suits my work perfectly."
An online campaign is also being launched, combining the campaign tag and hashtag, "Wear it #tightorwide." Votes are being collected between "tight" styles like skinny jeans and "wide" styles like boyfriend, baggy, and flared styles, which are currently trending, to see which style receives the most votes.
