Spotify, the music streaming service used by over 271 million users worldwide, has launched a Spotify original podcast called "Nishida Gota's GOTOWN Podcast," hosted by Gota Nishidera, singer and main songwriter for the pop'n soul band NONA REEVES!
Based on the concept of "input and output," the cultural program features free-flowing discussions on topics that interest Nishidera, including music, politics, history, film, and books. Each episode features a different guest based on a theme, who provides new perspectives and shares his own opinions and thoughts, stimulating listeners' intellectual curiosity.
The first episode will be about the music-based character rap project "Hypnosis Mic (commonly known as HypMic)." Like Nishidera, KURO (HOME MADE Kazoku), who has also contributed music to the project, and Kenji Tanabe, deputy editor-in-chief of "Weekly SPA!", will be invited to talk about the appeal of HypMic and stories about music production. The second episode, which will be broadcast on April 19th, will focus on "Michael Jackson, Musicians and Books," an artist that Nishidera has a special attachment to. A playlist has also been started, featuring songs that have appeared on the show.
In addition, to coincide with this program, the official Spotify playlist "Nishidera Gota Works" has been released. It features a selection of 50 songs, mainly collaborative works with artists with whom he has been involved in production, such as Okamura Yasuyuki, YUKI, Nakashima Mika, Ebisu Chugaku, and Negicco. Enjoy this along with the program.
