Seiko Watch Corporation will release a limited-edition Grand Seiko model featuring the morning cityscape of Ginza, Seiko's birthplace, at several Ginza stores from July 15th.
Ginza, Seiko's birthplace, remains one of Japan's most charming districts. As the morning sun illuminates the buildings lining the main street, the doors of countless stores open, marking the start of a new day.
This Ginza limited edition model features a refreshing ultramarine blue dial, evocative of a clear morning in Ginza. The dial features the model's unique "Ginza grid pattern." The transparent printed grid pattern, layered over a stamped lattice pattern, subtly sparkles when held up to the light. The design was inspired by an angle that looks down on Ginza, where unique streets intersect, as if diving into the city.
The movement is the 10-beat mechanical caliber 9S85, assembled by skilled artisans at the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, and the see-through case back is inscribed with the words "GINZA LIMITED EDITION," marking it as a Ginza-exclusive model.
