On May 18, 2023, Givenchy will announce actress Nanao as its new Japan ambassador.

Nanao began her entertainment career in earnest in 2009 and has built her career in a variety of settings, including television, film, and magazines. In particular, she has won numerous awards for her drama appearances, and her unique and overwhelming presence has attracted much attention.
Nanao commented on her appointment as Givenchy's new Japan ambassador as follows:
Creative Director Matthew M. Williams said of Givenchy's first Japanese actress as ambassador, "I am deeply impressed by Nanao's talent as an actress, as well as her energy and style. She is the ideal Japan ambassador, and I am very much looking forward to collaborating with her."
To mark her appointment as ambassador, a portrait was taken by photographer Leslie Kee, who is a close friend of Nanao. Dressed in Givenchy, Nanao captures a look that combines elegance and strength.
