Margaret Howell has released a video commemorating the brand's 50th anniversary. Two limited-edition shirts will also be released.

The video, commemorating 50 years of design since 1970, is a collaboration between Margaret herself and filmmaker Emily Richardson. The film unravels the essence of the brand, summarizing the sources of Margaret's inspiration. An extra episode will be shown at the "MH50" exhibition in Japan.

Emily, an artist and researcher, has created films that explore the relationship between human history and the landscape and environment. These films have been screened at museums including London's Tate Modern, numerous galleries, and film festivals around the world.

In addition, limited edition shirts will be released using two styles of the classic shirts that Margaret first designed.
The fabric used is Sea Island cotton from David and John Anderson, a long-established Scottish weaver who Margaret has been ordering fabric from since the 1970s. Sea Island cotton is considered to be of the highest quality, and is not only uniquely soft, but also strong and durable, making it ideal for making shirts.
 "MEN/WOMEN COLLARLESS SHIRT" (59,000 yen)

This regular shirt and collarless shirt were originally made for men, but even back then, women wanted similar mannish shirts. Over time, they have been updated and have become "Margaret Howell classics." Each piece is carefully sewn in the brand's own factory in Edmonton. The limited edition shirts, "MEN/WOMEN REGULAR SHIRT" (59,000 yen) and "MEN/WOMEN COLLARLESS SHIRT" (59,000 yen), will be available exclusively at the Jinnan store and online store from early April.
