Bang & Olufsen, a Danish luxury lifestyle brand founded in 1925, has released a new home speaker, the Beosound Balance. It will be available for pre-sale at Bang & Olufsen specialty stores from March 14th, and will also be available in special corners in three electronics retail stores from early April.

The Beosound Balance is a home speaker that produces rich sound. Designed in collaboration with Benjamin Hubert, founder of British industrial design studio LAYER, this product was developed as a shelf-mounted speaker that does not compromise on sound performance even in large living spaces, while also serving as a beautiful interior object.


The speaker drivers are equipped with beamforming technology, which allows for rich, room-filling sound for everyday listening, or sound directionality control for more direct, clear sound immersion.


In terms of design, the soft, rounded silhouette uses solid oak and knit textiles to soften its presence as a technology product and blend in with high-quality furniture and interior decor.


The innovative touch interface for operating the speaker only appears when the user gets close to it. When the user moves away from the speaker, the interface subtly fades away, revealing only the beautiful aluminum surface on the top.
